Our Mission:

The Mission of the Castle Rock Police Department is to Protect and Serve the citizens of Castle Rock with integrity and humility while building positive relationships with community members and aggressively pursuing those who commit crimes against them.

.

 On February 2, 2020 Castle Rock Police Officer David Yeager recieved the Distinguished Service Medal for providing distinguished service at significant personal risk. Officer Yeager responded and directly assisted in the man-hunt immediately following the murder of Cowlitz COunty Sheriff's Deputy Justin DeRosier on April 13, 2019. Officer Yeager located and detained a person of interest during the search.  

On February 2, 2020 Castle Rock Police Officers Jeff Gann and Bill Zimmerman, along with Reserve Sgt. Lee Kessler and Reserve Officer John Musso recieved the Distinguished Unit Medal. These four officers, at significant personal risk, assisted a team from the US Marshals Service in entering and searching several possible locations of hiding for the suspect inthe murder of Cowlitz County Sheriff's Deputy Justin DeRosier on April 13, 2019. During the search another wanted fugitive unrelated to the incident was apprehended.
